Caution exhaled slowly, staring at the cloud of warm breath she had just released. Almost instantaneously it disappeared into the air. She was amazed that her breath somehow remained warm while the rest of her body was chilled.
It was the first snow of the year, and Johnny had gone to check up on Tear, because she always got bad colds during the winter. Just as it began snowing lightly again, Caution started getting worried. It was late. Maybe he had gotten lost, she thought, and went to search for him.
Now she was wandering through the open, blanketed field, thinking about how different it had looked in the summer. The white powder falling from the sky landed peacefully on the ground with the rest of the snow. Caution sighed. She had absentmindedly forgot her gloves, and now she was starting to curse herself for it. Letting her lantern dangle off her wrist, Caution rubbed her numb, red hands together. She had been searching for almost an hour. The breeze started picking up along with the snowfall, so she hurried to continue her search. As she listened to the monotonous pattern of her crunching footsteps, she heard a voice off in the distance.
Caution twirled around, turning her back to the gnarly dead trees, and was relieved to see the sight of Johnny running towards her.
This is definitely my favorite picture so far! <3 Firstly, I tried a thinner outline than usual. Second, this is my first time doing lighting correctly! (I think...) CAUTION IS SO PRETTY OMG
This story was pretty much just a test on my descriptive skills XD
