1 (who?)
So me and :iconiceycoldone247: had no problems setting up a server and getting it running but suddenly it's not working

Please can anyone with Minecraft help?

We're connected on Hamachi and I can get on the server but when he tries to connect, it says "Can't reach server" every single time. I've tried making new servers, and connecting to his but his do the same thing. We need help.

Few different ideas (taking for granted you are running the server, if not just give your friend these details):
Make sure your server IP (in the properties file) is the same as your Hamachi IP.
Make sure everyone on the server is using the exact same version of minecraft (or see the minecraftwiki to see if the new update has the same multiplayer protocol)
If you are conntected to more than one Hamachi network, make one dedicated for people on the server (rare fix, but a possibility nonetheless)

If these don't help, you can PM me and I can try to think of a few different things. Also, do you (the server host I mean) get a error message when your friend can't log in?

We've tried all that... I've tried reinstalling Hamachi and making new networks, and he's tried reinstalling his Minecraft, nothing seems to work. And by get an error message, what do you mean?

On the server console, whether it is in terminal (command prompt) or Minecraft GUI, do you get a reason as to why he disconnected, such as "Connection Timed Out"? I am aware on his side he only gets the "Cannot Connect to Server", but the server console might get something different.

Another idea is to link it to a different port. By default, the 25565 port is used in minecraft, but if you know of a different port that is open (I understand that you don't run with a router, but your ISP does have some port control) you can link it to that. Just change the port in the server properties and when you log in, use (just change the zeros to the IP used and the 25565 to the port you choose). Using this method, you shouldn't need to use Hamachi, so your IP would become your external IP

I think it gets "Connection timed out" I can't check right now so I'm not sure

That sounds like a good idea, I'll try it, but how do I find another port to use?

You never listen to me do you, theres a problem with your local port jamie,

Also, question on this, does it just go straight ahead and say "cant reach server" or does it give you a chance to connect?

And if you guys want, you can use my server which has some pretty nice plugins, only if you want that is.

It worked before though, I don't get it.

It gives it a chance to connect... By that I hope you mean it tries to. It doesn't actually ever connect.

We'd kinda like our own server.

We're not using routers

Try putting the server address as "localhost" whoever set the server up.
If that doesn't work then your server is just set up wrong.

I tried figuring that out like a year ago and I couldn't get it to work. I dunno :/
